Meet Our Founder: Nakeisha Daniel
At the heart of The Well Theatre Company is Nakeisha Daniel, a visionary leader whose passion for storytelling and community shines through in every aspect of her work. A multi-talented artist and educator, Nakeisha brings a wealth of expertise in directing, acting, and choreography, making her the perfect person to guide our mission of fostering meaningful theatrical experiences.
A proud Atlanta native, Nakeisha’s journey in the arts began with her BFA in Musical Theater from Shorter College and was further refined with an MFA in Acting from Penn State University. Her dynamic career has taken her from the stage to the classroom, where she currently inspires the next generation as an Assistant Professor of African American Theatre at the College of Charleston.
Nakeisha’s leadership extends beyond The Well Theatre. She serves as the Region 4 Coordinator for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) ASPIRE Arts Leadership Program, a role that reflects her deep commitment to mentoring and empowering future arts leaders. As a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), she exemplifies professionalism and excellence in the performing arts.
With her unwavering dedication to inclusivity, artistry, and education, Nakeisha Daniel embodies the spirit of The Well Theatre Company. Under her guidance, we are not just creating theater—we are building a community where every story matters.
